Merry Christmas and Happy New Year all!
First of all, thank you for taking the time to read this. If you know me at all, you know how much I appreciate you taking the time to interact with me and my team. It's something that I don't take lightly, and I notice. So, thank you.
Now, on the the good stuff.
I wanted to start they year off with a sappy, thoughtful post about how we are thankful for our clients, how we overcame challenges and obstacles in 2018 and how 2019 will be our best year yet. But, as I sat down to write this post, my first ever real blog post, I found my thoughts moving in a different direction. Rather than looking back and thinking about the past year, or looking forward and talking about where we are going (both topics will probably be covered at some point), I wanted to write something in the present. Something in the here and now and why. So, here goes.......
I am most excited around the "who" of The Brokerage. I feel extremely lucky and fortunate to be surrounded by some great folks. First, I would be out of my mind not to thank my wife, Jessica, for all of the support, especially recently. While she has always supported me in my crazy dreams and allows me to chase them, the last few months have shown me the depth and breadth of her support. From brainstorming new names and colors and logos for our team to cheering me on and believing in me when she shouldn't have, I cannot thank her enough. She knows it means the world to me, but I wanted you all to know too.
Angie and Nick. My better halfs at work (I suppose it should be better thirds, but whatever). I know I couldn't do what I do every day without them. They believed in the idea behind The Brokerage from the beginning, and I know that we have a solid team in place to grow our business and take better care of our clients than ever before.
We do have some big goals for 2019, which I am sure we will share later, but just know that we are hard at work building systems and tools to help make sure that we get where we need to go. With our team, and your support, we will crush it. So, thank you for a great 2018, and 2013-2017, and cheers to the new year! May your year be filled with all of the good stuff you want/need, and as little of the bad stuff as possible. We are here to help you with anything that we can along the way!
